Ný Mynd (pronounced Ni Mint in Icelandic) formed in early 2016. The core idea behind the project is a balanced fusion of different genres shaped by each member’s musical background, ranging from death and thrash to heavy and even black metal — and beyond. Their sound is in constant evolution.
The current lineup features Drake (vocals), Dade (drums), Michele (bass), Davide (guitar) and Drew (guitar).

In 2017 they released their first single, “Call of the Void”, followed in 2019 by their debut EP “Crystalize”, recorded at Sonitus Studio in Crema. In March 2022 they published the single “A Fist on Your Teeth”, recorded at Elfo Studio in Tavernago (PC).

March 2024 saw the release of “Drowning in My Silence”, and in August the single “The Day of the Broken Sword”, both accompanied by music videos.
In 2025 a new single, “The Friendly Unknown”, was released together with a brand-new video.
